About
The best creative work happens when the right people are moving in the same direction.

I started as a designer.
But pretty early on, I became interested in everything happening around the design. How the business worked. What customers needed. Who was making decisions. And what it would actually take to get the work done.
Over time, my role grew from creating the work to helping lead it.
Today, that means working across creative direction, strategy, people, and execution. Some days I’m helping shape the direction of a program. Other days I’m working through details with teams and vendors to make sure everything comes together.
I enjoy both.
Approach
How I work
Understand the goal.
Before getting too far into solutions, I want to understand what we’re actually trying to accomplish. A website, an event, a campaign, or a new sponsorship experience is usually part of something bigger. The creative work should serve that bigger objective.
Connect the right pieces.
Complicated projects bring together people with different responsibilities, priorities, and perspectives. A big part of my job is making sure they understand the direction and their part in it. Then making sure they have what they need to do the work well.
Stay close until it works.
I like strategy, but I also care about the last mile. Approvals. Production. Vendors. QA. Handoffs. Onsite execution. The work isn’t finished just because the presentation looked good in a meeting.
Perspective
Professional figure-outer.
I’ve called myself that for years.
It’s not the most polished title, but it’s probably the most accurate.
I like getting into situations where the answer isn’t obvious yet. Understanding what’s happening, asking questions, and figuring out a way forward.
That might mean making a creative decision or getting people aligned. Other times, it’s catching something that everyone else missed.
I don’t need to be the expert in every part of the work. But I do want to understand enough to know what needs to happen next.
Experience
What I bring to the work
I’ve spent more than two decades working with organizations of different sizes, from local businesses to global technology programs.
Running my own creative business has shaped how I approach that work. Budgets matter. Relationships matter. Decisions have consequences. And ultimately, somebody has to take responsibility for getting things done.
That’s the perspective I bring to the teams and projects I’m part of.
