At Microsoft Ignite 2025, we brought together Microsoft, event sponsor AMD, and Red Bull—a customer and partner of both companies—for a connected experience that extended beyond traditional sponsorship.

The opportunity was to bring these relationships to life through executive programming, live content, branded environments, and on-site engagement.

My role

My role

As Creative Director for Microsoft Events sponsorship marketing, working through Simplicity Consulting, I helped coordinate the creative and production efforts across the three organizations.

My involvement spanned several parts of the experience:

  • Helped produce a joint session featuring leaders from Microsoft, AMD, and Red Bull.
  • Coordinated with the team and served as one of the people overseeing the live broadcast.
  • Helped coordinate the logistics of bringing Red Bull products on-site for display and distribution.
  • Supported the implementation of AMD and Red Bull branding, signage, and other event elements.

Microsoft’s event team, AMD’s sponsorship team, and Red Bull’s own crew each had requirements to work through. Coordinating those teams kept the separate parts connected.

The approach

The approach

Start with the relationships, not the logos.

AMD’s sponsorship gave us a way to connect Microsoft technology and AMD’s partnership with Red Bull’s perspective as a customer.

Rather than treating the session, broadcast, product presence, and signage as separate deliverables, we worked to make them feel like parts of one connected experience.

That meant staying close to both the creative decisions and the practical realities of event production.

The result

The result

At Microsoft Ignite, the experience brought together the joint executive session, live broadcast, branded environments, and Red Bull products on-site.

Attendees could see the business relationship in the session and across the event, rather than only in sponsor logos.

Three brands with different objectives, connected in one experience.
